Renowned broadcoaster Ebenezer Ampaabeng retires from GBC after 35 years in service

Director of Television at the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), Ebenezer Ampaabeng has retired after attaining the mandatory retirement age.

Mr. Ampaabeng who has been a popular face and voice on the state broadcaster announced his retirement on his personal Facebook page on January 2, 2024.

The veteran journalist joined the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation in November 1989 to date, spanning almost 35 years.

He rose through the ranks of Newscaster, and Deputy News Editor until becoming the Chief Editor Chief Editor.

Congratulatory messages have been pouring in for the journalist for his meritorious services to the media outlet.
